In this section your will find info about installing the Coscms on your system. Before you go any further you should know that the install is only tested on Linux. All development of the base system, and all modules I have written, is done on recent Ubuntu systems (8-9-10-11), and it should be fairly easy to install on these systems (Check the support for PHP5.3).
Other systems, like Debian, are also fairly easy (Ununtu is a kind of Debian system). I have tested the system on Virtualbox with Debian 6.0.0 with working results.
No testing yet has been done on windows or mac. But if you run Virtualbox (it is free for both mac and windows) - my guess is - that it will work fine with Ubuntu 10.04 or Debian 6.0.0. On the upside if you run the system on any of these systems on Virtualbox is that you can not screw up your existing system.
And from a fresh Virtualbox install you will be able to run the two shell scripts and you will have a working system.
